Frequently Asked Questions

Does the MedReb8 Program affect 340B?

No. We take great care through our auditing and IT processes to ensure no rebates are related to 340B administrations and no duplicate discounts occur.

Does a hospital need to do anything differently to capture this data?

No. Our proprietary IT platform gathers the information through various hospital systems necessary to give MedReb8 the information needed to effectively run the program.

What is Formulary Management?

Drug formulary management is the process in which hospital pharmacies carefully choose which medications are available to patients.

Will this affect my purchasing rebates?

No. The MedReb8 program works alongside any purchasing arrangements that you already have in place.

What value will this bring to my organization?

MedReb8 estimates that a hospital will receive approximately $2000/ bed/ year. This estimate is not based on daily census. This is a conservative estimate based on current industry benchmarks seen in current MedReb8 clients.

What medications are eligible for rebates?

Currently, the medications receiving rebates are “brand” name drugs, as well as, certain “High End Generics” and “Bio-Similars”.

Can you provide my hospital with an analysis?

Yes. However, $2000/ bed/ year is an appropriate estimate.

How hard is it to get the data that MedReb8 needs?

It usually takes an IT person less than 4 hours to work through the process of getting MedReb8 the data in the correct format.

How often does data need to be uploaded to the MedReb8 SFTP?

On the first data pull, MedReb8 can submit 3 months worth of data, after working with our IT team to ensure the proper data feeds are being used to gather the right information.  Subsequent data pulls are monthly.
